NOTE.

The Lectures comprised in this short series were originally prepared in a course of pastoral instruction, on the subject of Confirmation. The reasons for adopting the Baptismal Service, as the basis of this course, are sufficiently explained in the Introductory Lecture. The series is now given to the public in this form, with the humble hope that it may, through the divine blessing, prove a safe and useful Guide to the Holy Sacraments, as well to Pastors and Teachers, as to catechumens and learners.
