Textual Note: This translation was made by John Booth Good (1833-1916), CMS missionary in British Columbia. He also translated the offices for Public Baptism, Confirmation, the Solemnization of Matrimony, the Visitation of the Sick, and the Burial of Dead for the use of the inhabitants of Lytton.
Neklakapamuk, known today as Ntlakyapamuk or Nklapmx, is a Salishan language which was formerly also known as Thompson. It is related to Lillooet and Shuswap, also Interior Salish languages. Statistics Canada found 595 mother tongue speakers in 1998.
